Do you ever wonder what your pets are doing when you are away from home? Want to keep an eye on the house when on vacation? Security cameras are virtually everywhere now and so is crime. It makes sense to want to be able to check in and keep an eye on things.

Vimtag has this great camera that can be used in many areas around the house. I received the Vimtag Pan/Tilt Camera to review and has a lot of neat features!

This camera does need a wifi connection and it is pretty easy to get it set up. Once you do complete set up, you don't even have to have it connected to the router with a cable. It only needs the power cord. And since it's using a wifi connection, you download an app to your phone or tablet and you can log in to see what's going on!
You can actually control the camera with the onscreen controls! By swiping across the screen from side to side, you can move the camera from side to side. By swiping up or down, you can move the camera up and down. And you can zoom in by swiping a thumb and forefinger  away from each other just like you do to zoom in to see a photo or some small print.

This camera offers the added benefits of not only being able to hear audio through the app, but you can also talk through the app too! Your kids or pets can hear your voice!
You can even record video or snap a screen still so you can catch those cute or funny moments. I have used the camera outside on sunny days, while I was home. I can watch and talk to my dogs while they run around the backyard, but the camera isn't waterproof so it can't really be left or mounted outside. That is about the only drawback.
Our cats and dogs were hilarious the first several times they heard my voice through the speaker. They were looking all over for me. But it was cool to be able to calm them down when the neighbor's cat got too close to our fence.
This would have been nice when our son was a baby because the nursery was upstairs and it was nerve wracking at times when I had things I needed to do downstairs, but was scared I wouldn't hear him cry out or worried that if he got into distress I wouldn't know.

I really like this camera for the features it has and the added security it can offer. In addition to the pets and the kids, these can be used for home security to keep an eye on your property. You can have it set to take photos when it detects motion and it even has night vision so you can see what's happening at night.
